Estee Lauder
Location: Nationwide
Area: Varies
Our firm produced the construction and millwork drawings for 58 of this international cosmetics company’s national department store locations.
The displays were typically located within the main floor cosmetics departments of major retail department stores. The overall size was generally 800-1200 square feet or larger if they contained a spa area. The Estee Lauder name often secured the prime location in the department.
The design launched a new look for Estee Lauder, a new marketing campaign and a new spa concept incorporated into the main floor displays. The spa had to incorporate the massage table, sink, work area, cabinetry and a ceiling for privacy all within a freestanding enclosure.
Custom detailed cabinets, merchandise showcases, back-lit displays, a spa, and a makeover area were all details of these projects. The highly designed wall and island displays required some conceptualizing and brainstorming with the Estee Lauder team. Working out the technical details of the showcases and spa were essential to the fabrication by high quality specialty cabinet shops. The installation costs often equalled or exceeded the renovation of a small retail store.
The sleek new finishes of frosted and clear glass, lacquer, granite, chrome and anigre wood give this well established company an elegant, upscaled product display nationwide.
